Leanne Kuiper

Leanne Kuiper is a student in the research master’s program Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Previously, she completed a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics at Leiden University, where she focused on language and cognition. In this light, she conducted a research internship in language acquisition and wrote her thesis on the phonology of sibilants in Awa Pit. Her current interests are broad, ranging from a research project regarding long-term musical memory in conditions of limited exposure to a literature thesis on the role of prosody in irony comprehension in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In 2021, she will participate in the Tesla minor at the UvA, seeking ways to conduct scientific research in the context of projects with societal impact.
